Coconuts. Those wonderfully tasty drupes have been prized for centuries. Drupes? Yep. Drupes. Coconuts are not nuts; they are classified as drupes. Coconuts and peaches are both drupes; meaning they have a fleshy fruit surrounding a central seed.
