Coyote Drawing
This coyote drawing adorned the cover of a small booklet put out in 1930 by the Bureau of Biological Survey. Since it was issued by the government and paid for by American taxpayers, the drawing is in the public domain in the United States. No artist was given credit for the work.
It is a bit unusual since the coyote is formed by a series of vertical lines rather than an outline of his silhouette. You could probably fill it in or leave it in this interesting form.
In the drawing, the coyote is howling at some unseen moon. Despite some of his hackles being raised, he still looks somewhat friendly – after all, the artist did not include any of his teeth.
