Fancy Letter D Images
Dramatic or dainty, demure or demonstrative, no matter what sort of design you might be developing; a fancy letter D image might be just what your project needs. As with all of the vintage images and illustrations on FreeVintageArt.com, this group of fancy letter D images is in the public domain in the United States. All of them were rescued from printed materials that were published before 1923. They may or may not be in the public domain in the rest of the world.
This archive of letter images is fairly new, which means there are only a few things here to choose from. The good news is that you can also check out my larger vintage image website, ReusableArt.com which has a much larger selection of letter D images.

Dulce Nombre didn’t have a lot of drop caps included among the lines of text but the ones that were in this 1921 publication were quite nice. They all had white letters on black backgrounds. Cottage roses and leaves decorate each one too.

Published in 1918, a book entitled Yougo-Slavia had some very pretty lacy ornamental letters.

The American Type Founders offered this pretty cast initial set in 1897. Unfortunately, it included only a few of the letters but the solid black letters surrounded by decorative doodles are quite nice.
