Fancy Letter M Images
My, my, my, what a nice collection of fancy letter M images. There’s only a few of them here so far but that’s bound to change as time passes. All of the letter images here on FreeVintageArt.com are in the public domain according to American copyright law. That means most of them were included in publications that were released between 1895 and 1922.

Silly Syclopedia was a fun exploration of the alphabet which was published in 1905. All of the letters were lightly-colored on black backgrounds with curlicues and heart-shaped leaves.

In 1921, Dulce Nombre was released and included a nice series of letter images. They all were on black backgrounds with roses and leaves.

The Strand Magazine, in an issue released in 1904 included 5 drop cap images like this one.

Love the doodle-like appearance of this letter image. It is from a publication put out by Union Pacific Railroad to encourage western travel in 1891. I’ve done only minimal editing; it might need a bit more to make it really shine.

This one dates back to 1912 when it appeared in a biography. There were 7 letters from this set included in the work. All had an art deco style with a solid black letter surrounded by flowers and small, thin grass-like leaves.
