Insect Diagram
This is a little over half of a priocnemis affinis. Shown in a scientific insect diagram, this vintage drawing is from 1899 in a book called, oddly enough, Insects. I suppose if you wanted to, you could flip the image to create the entire wasp; though you would probably want to deleted the numbers and letters on the drawing.
To me, what makes this image fun, beyond the diagramming of it’s parts is all of the hairs shown on the legs and bottom of this flying predator.
